- U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA")
Here is Tomo san and his beautiful family! We visit them every time we go back to see our family in Kyoto!
Unlike common matcha, which is ground by high-powered machine, our ceremonial-grade matcha is stone-ground using traditional granite grinders – the process is ultra-slow but minimises the oxidization of the active components, thereby retaining the maximum nutritional benefits and giving the tea such a vibrant colour.
What’s more, our ceremonial-grade matcha from Healtholicious is made using only the shoot of the first harvest, which is why it has such a delicious, mild taste.
[How to drink]
Individual preference dictates how you might prefer to drink yours, but we recommend starting with a small dose - 1/4 teaspoon per cup. The powder will not completely dissolve so, if not drunk immediately, is likely to set.
Moderation is key: while it may be delicious, consuming large amounts of matcha may upset your stomach and is not recommended.
Our ceremonial-grade matcha is of premium quality and is intended to be used for drinking. If you are using matcha powder for baking or cooking, choose our CULINARY-grade matcha powder.
In order to provide our customers with the best possible price, we pack our premium quality products in a BPA-free, kraftspaper packaging in order to minimize the cost. Although the bag is well-sealed, we recommend that you place it in an air-tight container to ensure that the powder does not get exposed to oxygen. This will help ensure it retains its freshness and taste.
